4K Flowing Water Video

Fresh Stream is a UHD 4K flowing water video designed to help your relax. You can choose the 20 minute 4K option or a downscaled option in Full HD. It depends on the resolution of your TV screen (4K videos do not work on all media players yet). You can also choose a self looping screensaver version for Windows and Mac computers, which loops seamlessly after 3 minutes. If you buy the “all versions” options you will also received access to both a 4K Windows acreensaver and a 4K Mac screensaver.

Filming Fresh Stream was a pleasure. We have used a shallow depth of field like we did on our recently released 4K waterfall screensaver Secret Falls. This time we have gone for a much more subtle approach with our aperture settings in-camera.  The result is that just a small, certain distance from the camera is fully in focus. This adds a slightly arty style to the video and helps make the scene feel more relaxing and dreamy.

Relaxing Water Flowing Sounds

The almost zen-like sounds of the gently flowing water is very relaxing (some have even said it could be called ASMR as it is so soothing). We find that it gives us a very relaxed feeling when we watch this video. This calming mood is enhanced when glancing at the natural setting of this lovely stream. The fact that there is a shallow depth of field makes the video more surreal than our other 4K nature videos. This is done for effect, to help you escape and de-stress.

You can choose the 20 minute MP4 as an Ultra HD 4K video download, or as a Full HD download. The 4K UHD version is four times the resolution of the Full HD version and the videos are around 1.2 GB in size. The 4K video is similar sized to the HD versions because of superior compression using the new HEVC codec. We recently upgraded our download speeds with Amazon Cloudfront, so don’t worry about the download time being too long (usually a few minutes).

Full HD Water Flowing Video

The Full HD version is 1.4GB which is still a hefty size for one of our Full HD relaxing videos. The reason is because flowing water requires a higher bitrate with the moving detail. Also the Full HD version has been downscaled from Ultra HD, which means more detail has been squeezed in for a superior video quality.

Flowing Water Windows Screensaver

The Windows screensaver version is Full HD and loops after 3 minutes. The screensaver has volume control independent of your computer. Plus the option to set a screenshot as your desktop wallpaper (1920 x 1080 pixels). Like any other screensaver you can choose when it will start laying after you stop touching your computer.  If you have a Macbook or iMac we are afraid you will need to use the video as a manual screensaver.
