Secret Falls Waterfall 4K is a screensaver video to loop on any screen, no matter how big. The MP4 downloads are 20 minutes long and loop seamlessly as the camera never moves. The waterfall was filmed with a shallow depth of field. This explains why the sides are out of focus, yet the center of the frame, the waterfall itself, is very sharply in focus. The idea was to literally create a “secret waterfall” by altering the aperture setting on our camera. The out of focus edges are like a natural curtain, exposing the secret waterfall within.

Waterfall 4K features White Noise

Like the sound at many waterfalls, the audio in Secret Falls is similar to “white noise”. This can be a good thing or a bad thing. White noise is used by many people to improve productivity. Others find it helpful for sleep or to block out other sounds. Others reportedly use it as a meditation aid, according to Google. You can listen to the promo clip above, but you always have the choice to turn the volume down and play music over it. Our Windows screensavers now do not have sound.

The UHD video is designed to be used on Ultra HD TV and computer screens as a 4K waterfall screensaver. It is not automatic, like the UHD and Full HD computer screensavers. You will need to play the video and select “repeat”, so that it loops continuously. If your TV does not support MP4 playback, you may require an external device such as the Apple TV or Chromecast. Alternative for those without a 4K TV yet

If you have not upgraded your TV yet, like most of us, you can choose the Full HD version. This is great quality because the Ultra HD recording has been down-scaled to Full HD, which means we squeezed 4 times the resolution into the Full HD file. Select 1080p HD to view the promo clip above in Full HD, or 2160 4K if you have a UHD screen.

Waterfall 4K Screensaver for Windows

The Windows waterfall screensaver comes in two options: 4K UHD or Full HD resolution. Most laptops and normal PC screens will be fine with the HD version. If you have a large computer monitor with a high resolution then the 4K version will be best. The screensaver loops by itself (just like any other screensaver) every 3 minutes. This means it doesn’t need to be a big file size so it won’t slo down your PC or make your laptop heat up.
