Virtual Campfire Screensaver

This campfire video was filmed whilst on our travels in the tropics of Southeast Asia. We were a couple of hundred feet from the beach and our guesthouse was happy for us to light the campfire. Despite the warm weather we still enjoyed being around a fire, thanks to the tropical location.

The footage was filmed in 4K Ultra HD and has been down-scaled to Full HD. This means excellent detail which is especially noticeable on bigger screens. The MP4 looping fireplace video is 20 minutes long and the Windows screensaver is 3 minutes long. We have looped the MP4 video as we were trying different angles and settings, but have used a “crossfade” technique to make it seamless. We also did this just before the end so that the loop point for the MP4 will be smoother.

Campfire Screensaver is a simple fire scene with the surroundings blocked out. This creates a nice dark but cozy atmosphere in any room. 

How to use this videos screensaver:

The Windows screensaver is just like any other Microsoft Windows screensaver. It loops by itself and you can choose how long to wait before it starts playing.

The MP4 video can be used as a manual TV screensaver by adding it to a USB flash drive and plugging that into your HD SMART TV. Select the Repeat option to have it continue looping as long as you wish. Having fireplace screensaver on a SMART TV seems to make rooms feel warmer, just try it for yourself.
