We were fortunate to get so close to these young herons in a tiny village in Bali, Indonesia, where every evening thousands of parents return to their nests to feed their young. We have blurred the background to make our “subjects” stand out more, but you should still be able to make out many herons in the tree behind them.

This relaxing nature video download should make a great alternative to trash TV. Rather than staring at the screen, let your eyes wander to it occasionally as you read, talk or go about your day in any other way. The herons are very attractive little birds, especially in the evening light.

We are not trying to compete with the likes of the BBC’s David Attenborough documentaries here. This is merely a simple scenic window with no camera movement.

The sound may help one concentrate whilst studying by blocking out other sounds, or it can be lowered to make the scene more relaxing. It is such a pleasant and simple scene, that it can be used for helping you get ready for sleep. Although the very quick feeding isn’t quite as attractive, they certainly are fast eaters.
